“BitSummit Drift” Exhibition Report

From July 19th to 21st, 2024, the “holo Indie” team made its debut exhibition at “BitSummit Drift,” which was held over three days at Miyako Messe in Kyoto, Japan.

Why did we exhibit at BitSummit?

The main goal of our exhibition was to increase recognition for “holo Indie” and the various games we are publishing.

Moreover, although there is some recognition, many people are not aware that “holo Indie” is an official indie game support program under COVER and CCMC. To address this, we decided to participate in the event to have the opportunity to meet and directly explain this to indie game developers and related parties.

The Booth and the Event

At the booth, we featured a life-sized panel signed by Ichijou Ririka from hololive DEV_IS’s ReGLOSS branch, who is an ambassador for “holo Indie.” We also set up five demo stations for attendees to try out the games.

While attendees played “holo Indie” titles, we also distributed brochures introducing the games, and set up a message board where fans could leave messages. This not only helped raise awareness of the titles, but also made the booth more engaging for the general public. 

At the B-SiDE booth, we had the opportunity to showcase a demo of “hololive Treasure Mountain,” which was recently announced. This allowed us to promote the project through the company’s indie program.

Looking at the event as a whole, “BitSummit Drift” saw a significant number of international participants. The “holo Indie” booth’s message board included messages from fans who came from countries such as the United States and France.

Closing Thoughts

We were able to engage in information exchange and networking with many developers at the indie game festival, which will help in the expansion of future titles. The event was also covered by gaming media, greatly enhancing the recognition of “holo Indie.” We believe that the success of this exhibition will help broaden our future activities and initiatives.
