Derivative works are typically released without remuneration under the relevant guidelines, but by making it past the holo Indie screening process, games containing hololive IP can be sold worldwide for profit.

We mainly offer game promotional support, but we also provide feedback regarding submitted games.

How long does the screening process take for submitted games?
We typically get back to creators within 1-2 months, but we may require more time depending on the game.

Does my game need to be completely finished before I apply?
The game does not need to be the final version, but it would be ideal if there was a proposal and data for verification we can easily operate.

What should I do if my game does not pass the screening process?
We will take responsibility for the disposal of client, proposal, and personal information shared with us. Furthermore, even if your application for holo Indie is declined, you are still permitted to release the game for free as long as you follow the derivative works guidelines.

Can I submit multiple games/proposals at once?
Yes you can.

Does holo Indie offer financial assistance for game development?
Not currently.

May I stop the screening process partway through or withdraw my submission completely?
Developers themselves are in control of the progress of each project right the way through, so there is no issue with choosing to stop midway through, or withdrawing your submission altogether.

Will it be difficult for me to apply if I am not a professional game developer?
We accept submissions from anyone with a passion for game development.

Are there age or nationality restrictions?
There are no such restrictions.

I have never released a game on Steam. Will this be an issue?
We will support you as best as possible with any issues you may have.

Is there any issue with the games being derivative works?
No there is not. holo Indie is a legitimate program that follows COVER's Derivative Works Guidelines in order to release creators' games with the required official support.

How much does it cost to submit a proposal?
There are no costs involved in the screening process.

Who owns the copyright for released games?
The rights for games that are produced through holo Indie will be owned by the creators themselves. holo Indie will manage the hololive IP that features in any game and provide support regarding sales.

Can I create titles that contain mature content?
We will reject any proposals that contain mature content.

How are sales prices determined?
Prices of games will be determined upon consultation/deliberation with the creator, taking into account market prices and the price of similar titles.
